Jamal Okoye
Graphic Designer & Freelancer
Jamal starts his day with a short run linking the canal to local green spaces. He tracks and shares on the Canal Club Strava page. A bit of stretching and breakfast – he joins some other residents in our club house co-working zone to tackle the day ahead. The club house has coffee and refreshments – but there are a few places nearby for lunch or a snack. As the sun sets and evening arrives Jamal meets some friends nearby at Howling Hops – a pint and a close to the day

The evening is a drink and dinner at Inis opposite her apartment.

Luis Moreno
Music Producer & DJ
Luis lives for the rhythm of Hackney Wick. His studio apartment doubles as a sound lab by day, where he layers beats and samples under soft LED lights. By night, he’s spinning at Number 90 or catching a set at Crate Brewery. Canal Club’s sound proofed walls and creative neighbours mean late-night sessions are welcome. On Sundays, he resets with a rooftop stretch and a slow brunch at Thingy Café.

Freya Nguyen
Sustainable Fashion Designer
Freya’s two-bed apartment is both home and atelier. She sources vintage fabrics from Broadway Market and Vintage Hackney Wick, stitching bold new pieces under the soft light of her living room. Her balcony is a mini dye garden, herbs and indigo plants soaking up the sun. She hosts pop-ups in Wickside’s shared spaces and swaps ideas with neighbours over wine at All My Friends. Creativity here is collaborative.
